WALT: learn more about Suzanne Aubert.

Why are we learning about her?

Because we are going to Wellington for the day on Thursday, November 29th and will visit the Home of Compassion where Suzanne Aubert started her mission in Wellington.

Who helped her?

In 1859,Bishop Pompallier asks Suzanne to become a missionary. She is helped by Father Yardin and Father Poupinel.

     In 1874 Suzanne was hoping to restart the Māori mission on the new Bishop of Wellington, Bishop Redwood, who was to become her lifelong supporter. In 1883, by invitation of the Māori from the Whanganui River area, Suzanne left Hawke’s Bay for Hiruharama – Jerusalem – to revive the Catholic mission

A Memo From God

MY TOUR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a tour of all the schools in our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu group who are part of the Manaiakalani Outreach Programme. I hope you enjoy our tour. We have three schools in our little group.

ALL about the Rosary

For the last few days we have have been learning about the rosary, it is the month of Mary so we pray the rosary. First you do the sign of the cross. Next we say the apostles creed link to the Apostles . After that, we say 10 Hail Mary's, then Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

What it means: The Rosary is a  string of beads for keeping count in a rosary or in the devotions of our  religion. There are 55 beads. 

the book i have read

Today I have been reading sunshine classics the book i was reading is called the three wishes,   this book is about a woodcutter. The woodcutter cuts trees for fire. The woodcutter woke up in the morning.  Then one day the woodcutter was about to cut a branch and there was a little voice that said'' don't cut the branch its my home''.

Do You want to Become a Priest?

In Religious Education we are studying more about the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. We learn about this because we are in a Catholic School. Today we learnt about being ordained as a Priests by our wonderful student teacher Mr Williamson (he doesn't have a son called William just in case you were wondering, but he does have a great, great uncle called Bill). I digress. In anycase, enjoy the post and if you have any inclination to become a priest let our Parish know and we can hook you up! Emilia out.
